Why your failures are important |
It is also important for people to see that failure isn’t necessarily a bad thing.” It is really a good thing to note for the first time. You may want to ask me how? yea, but do not eat me up, I am going to explain what I mean. I don't mean to be rude anyway!!
From this article I bet you have more insight on the REASONS WHY FAILURE IS IMPORTANT
However, I was asking a friend of mine if she knows anything about the importance of failure and the values we can attach to it, though I wasn't surprised when she responded "what value can we attach to failure and failure is not even good" And my Dad too, I once gave him an article I wrote on "THE IMPORTANCE OF FAILURE" the first question I got from him was "what nonsense are you writing now" but I simply ask him to just go through it; guess what? He did go through it and confirmed the wisdom being shared therein in the article an so I want to share with you here on this blog.
But before I proceed, its obvious that majority of the people on earth attach a lot of emotion when the term "failure" is mentioned. that's the mark of low Emotional Intelligence. I wonder, but the truth still must be told to the populace, that failure is the pillar behind any success you can think of!
The emotion attached to failure is mostly the fear of losing; But I still must tell you that the fear shouldn't be your problem, go into any thing you want to achieve with enthusiasm and passion; and until you do this, you will fail, and you fulfill the law of attraction the opposite way, therefore, you attracted that to yourself.

However, back to what we are here for, I will have to start with the definition of Usher Morgan about the term failure, and he said: "Failure is a state of mind in which you have decided to stop trying and move on to something else. If you lost your business and you decided to get a job, you failed, but if you lost your business and decided to go at it again or regain control of that business, as impossible as it may seem at the moment, you didn’t fail.” He further said that, "a situation in which you didn’t get what you were after,
That’s not failure; that’s an attempt"
And I know you now believe its an attempt at something.
If you didn’t get it, you try again, and if you didn’t get it again, you try again, and again, and again. If you do this, I bet you are closer to success than you may think of!!
If you didn’t get it, you try again, and if you didn’t get it again, you try again, and again, and again. If you do this, I bet you are closer to success than you may think of!!
"Unless you quit, you are not considered a failure"
What then are you talking about, you mean failure is success? follow the hyperlink to see what I call success.
FAILURE IS A STEPPING STONE
Failure is a boulevard and a significant path that leads to our success. You can research the life of all the successful people on earth, you will obviously tell yourself that failures counts to their success and what they are today.
The importance of failure can never be overemphasized!
Edison was asked by a reporter "what do it feel like to fail a thousand times?" but He responded, "I didn't fail a thousand times but I built it through a thousand steps" You can see from this reply, failure is a step that all of us are bound to pass through or encounter before we get to our success zone.
However, failure is one of the great teacher we have in life, and if you do not possess the prospects of failure, you can never make it in life like the successful people we have today.
“The quickest road to success is to possess an attitude toward failure of ‘no fear.’ ”

Building a strong attitude towards failure is the unleashing of our power to succeed.
The sweetest victory is the one that’s most difficult. The one that
requires you to reach down deep inside, to fight with everything you’ve got, to
be willing to leave everything out there on the battlefield—without knowing,
until that do-or-die moment, if your heroic effort will be enough. Society doesn’t
reward defeat, and you won’t find many failures documented in history books.
Yes, because the society do not want to hear how you started, nor do they care to know what you went through in the process of achieving your success!, they are simply just interested on your success, that is the result of all your failures! Failures are the food the entrepreneurs are destined to encounter once they embark on the journey of being successful in life, and that is why we all want to persist in actualizing our dreams. Hence gathering information, experience, value, resilience, growth, momentum and inspiration. These attributes makes up the mind of the entrepreneurs. You can research that!
THE VALUES OF FAILURE
The values attached to failure is so great that only lovers of success know the why we must go out to face failures and overcome our fears. Our fears are those prospective failures we are to encounter on our way to success. Remember, success is a journey, not a destination, and every path that leads to our success, must have loopholes, setbacks, challenges etc. and this constitute to our fears! The funny thing is that "fear" it self is determination in reverse, and when you reverse your determination, you are definitely a failure, because you must quit on the process.
The values we are going to get when we fail are as below:
1. Experience: Experience they say, is the best teacher. because you learn from the natural way of learning, a firsthand method which no one is there to teach you, but you did that for yourself!
The experience of failing at something is truly invaluable. It completely alters our frame-of-mind through the induction of pain. It makes us reflect on the real nature of things and their importance in our lives, transforming and improving our future-selves.

Your level of experience, tells your whole ideologies and ways you approach things.
2. Knowledge: Failures too increases your knowledge base, because, anything you never knew, you can not know it except you go for it to know it! Your knowledge will help you develop a systematic ways to view and approach things. I still remember what Ben Cason said in one of his books, he said "mistakes, increases your knowledge base" And that's really true!
3. Growth: When your experience and knowledge expands, you are definitely growing, because your ideas on things changed to a better idea, and this will help you see things from different angles and perceptive and then decide on which idea to tackle an event, Hence your growth!
4. Determination: This is one of the invaluable and most ignored value to learn from your failures. Failures really would help you develop a strong determination to achieve things. Take for instance you developed an instinct to try something in other that you may be rich or successful. Definitely, not everyone you told about this will take you serious, many will laugh off the idea out of you, but if you still have the gut to pursue it, that's determination, okay, maybe along the line you encountered failure; that laughter and or mockery of your friends will be there again to motivate you as well inspire you to persist, hence building your determination to achieve it!
